Situated at prime locations in Champagne, France – the greatest wine regions in the world, the Mallot vineyards are ideal for cultivating the best grapes as the high calcium soils is warmed by the sun’s heat coupled with the unique of terroir. In addition, Mallot vineyards are meticulously managed and crop to ensure premium quality. The perfect choice for taste
Taking advantage of the superb location and conditions, on 180 acres of Mallot vineyards, we have planted four of the “noble” vines to create fine wines: Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Carbenet Franc. At Mallot, we believe great Champagne starts with the great grapes and the great vineyards. In addition to the meticulous management and our attentive hand-picking harvesting process, we bring our passion for wine to our cellar, to produce superior quality wines with a distinct and unique personality.
The pretty grapes
Blending different grape varieties can help produce a more interesting finished wine. Here in Mallot, we have used a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc for Mallot Rosé, and a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for Mallot Bru’t. Each one is unique and has its own special appeal that contributes to the uniquely delectable pleasure of Mallot Champagne.
This grape is for elegance, freshness with notes of citrus fruits and white flowers.
Merlot flavor depends upon where its grown climate-wise, it gets notes of ripe blue, red and black fruits. These tasting notes are backed by undertones of vanilla, coco, etc.
Sauvignon blanc is a green-skinned grape variety. The grape most likely gets its name from the French words sauvage and blanc due to its early origins as an indigenous grape in South West France. It is possibly a descendant of Savagnin.
What does Cabernet Franc grapes taste like? It has aromas of flowers, herbs and fruits, develop into the taste of raspberry, red currant with some notes of dark fruit layered with notes of herb and black pepper.
